RIVERDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College women's basketball team saw its season come to a close in the first round of the Skyline Conference Championship on Tuesday night, as the sixth-seeded Rams fell to third-seeded host Mount Saint Vincent, 73-68.

Mia Simmons (Jamaica, N.Y.) drove the middle of the lane for a layup with 90 seconds left, pushing FSC's advantage back to three at 65-62, with 1:30 left. The Dolphins scored underneath the basket in their next trip down the court, and knocked down nine free throws over the last 54.6 seconds of play to escape with the triumph. Mount Saint Vincent will next travel to second-seeded Mount Saint Mary College for a 7 p.m. semifinal on Thursday (Feb. 22).
Emily Pohalski was 4-of-5 from the floor and 3-of-3 from long range en route to a game-high 16 points and seven rebounds, while Wooden (5-of-9 FG, 2-of-2 3FG) chipped in with 13 points and seven boards. Mendoza registered nine points and six caroms, with Greenwald going a perfect 3-of-3 from the field (2-of-2 from 3-point land) to add eight points for the Rams.
