FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State men's tennis team fell to Division II opponent Adelphi University, 7-0, on Tuesday afternoon at home. The Rams dropped to 2-2 this fall, while the Panthers improved to 3-1.
Senior
Vansh Aggarwal (Mumbai, India) and freshman
Zakaria Ahmed (Manhasset, N.Y.) fell in top-flight doubles, 6-1, while the third pairing of sophomore
Emil Sabovic (Bohemia, N.Y.) and freshman
Michael Lerman (Massapequa, N.Y.) fell by the same score to Adelphi's Casey Ricci and Matias Hoyos.
Sophomores
Ty Williams (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) and
Kwaku Agyeman (Middletown, N.Y.) lost 6-3 at No. 2 doubles as the Panthers led 1-0.
Adelphi swept through singles play, conceding no more than five games in each match, as they went on for the 7-0 victory.
Farmingdale State will next play host to Brooklyn College on Tuesday, October 15th at 4:30 p.m.
