FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | Led by a season-high 21 service aces, the Farmingdale State College volleyball team moved its winning streak to four-consecutive matches with a 3-0 sweep over Skyline Conference foe Purchase College on Thursday night (25-18, 25-15, 25-8).

Mikayla Profeta (West Islip, N.Y.) led three Rams (8-4, 2-0 Skyline) with double-digit points, as she totaled 11 kills, five service aces and four total blocks (one solo) to go with nine digs. Junior
Delaney Keegan (Lake Grove, N.Y.) hit .421 on the outside of the FSC lineup on nine kills, as many digs and four aces, while freshman outside hitter
Samantha Russo (Bay Shore, N.Y.) notched a match-high six aces, 12 digs and six kills on a .312 hitting percentage. Sophomore setter
Sarah Rende (Wantagh, N.Y.) passed out 27 assists, with freshmen
Mackenzie Marquardt (Centereach, N.Y.) and
Samantha DiBiasi (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) contributing four aces and seven digs, respectively.
The Panthers (3-9, 0-2) led the first set at 13-11, before Keegan put down a kill and served the next four points to put the hosts in front for good at 17-14. Russo later served out the final five points of the set, including three of her aces on the evening, to give Farmingdale State a 1-0 advantage in the match.
Profeta (three kills, two service aces), Keegan (four kills, .667 hitting) and Russo (three kills, two aces) each tallied five points in the second set, before Marquardt's 11-serve string in the third frame closed out the Rams' sweep.
The Rams have now won seven of their last eight matches, and are back in Skyline action on Wednesday (Oct. 9) for a 6 p.m. first serve at the University of Mount Saint Vincent.
