MAHWAH, N.J. | The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team traveled to Ramapo College of New Jersey on Saturday and fell, 3-1. After splitting the first two sets, the Roadrunners earned 25-23 and 25-18 wins in sets three and four as they went on for the non-conference victory.
Junior middle blocker
Lauren Offermann (North Babylon, N.Y.) led the way for FSC (11-7) with a career-high 10 kills. Sophomore middle
Stephanie Nemecek (Farmingdale, N.Y.) produced nine kills and a career-high three solo blocks for a team-best 12.5 points. Sophomore setter
Sarah Rende (Wantagh, N.Y.) tallied 31 assists, four kills, three aces and eight digs, while senior libero
Lana Ventura (Port Washington, N.Y.) had a team-high 20 digs.Freshman
Caroline Lange (Shoreham, N.Y.) registered a season-high five kills and five digs.
Outside hitters
Delaney Keegan (Lake Grove, N.Y.) and
Samantha Russo (Bay Shore, N.Y.) chipped in with four and three kills, respectively, while
Bailey Katz (Pelham, N.Y.) was perfect on her attacks, going 3-for-3.
Riley Stewart and Amanda Fatouh combined for 41 kills en route to the win for Ramapo.
Farmingdale State next returns to Skyline action when they host Maritime on Friday, November 1st at 6:00 p.m. on Senior Night.
