Men's Soccer Loses at St. Joseph's-Brooklyn

St. Joseph's-Brooklyn 1, Farmingdale State 0
BROOKLYN, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's soccer team dropped a road Skyline Conference match Saturday night, as the Rams fell to St. Joseph's-Brooklyn, 1-0, at a windy Aviator Sports and Events Center.

In a match that saw just 11 combined shots between the two sides, FSC (7-8-3, 4-4-2 Skyline) held a 4-2 shots advantage in the first half – including a 26th-minute attempt by junior winger Tyree Baskin Jr. (Freeport, N.Y.) that was cleared off the goal line by the Bears (7-5-3, 6-2-2) defense.

St. Joseph's-Brooklyn carried a 4-1 shots edge after halftime, and scored the breakthrough goal in the 53rd minute of play from Matthew Kieblesz. The Rams' lone shot of the half came less than five minutes before the final whistle, when senior Anthony Bileddo (Carle Place, N.Y.) had his effort blocked.

Senior goalie Jabari Dennis (Brooklyn, N.Y.) made two saves for Farmingdale State, which rounds out regular-season play Wednesday night (Oct. 30) at 7 against Skyline foe Sarah Lawrence. Prior to the match, the Rams will hold a Senior Night ceremony for their senior student-athletes.
