FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's soccer team wrapped up regular-season play Wednesday on Senior Night, as the Rams clinched the sixth and final seed in the upcoming Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Championship with a 3-2 victory over visiting Sarah Lawrence College.
FSC (8-8-3, 5-4-2 Skyline) opens tournament play Saturday (Nov. 2), when it travels to Kings Point, N.Y., for a first-round contest at third-seeded U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Match times for the championship will be released on Thursday afternoon.Â

The Rams broke through for a 1-0 halftime lead just 1:16 before the interval, when freshman winger
Jean Mejia (Freeport, N.Y.) netted against the Gryphons (5-13-2, 2-8-1) after receiving a through ball down the middle of the field from sophomore midfielder
Sebastian Monroy (Brentwood, N.Y.).Â
Within nine minutes after the resumption of play, the hosts found themselves up by the score of 3-0. Senior midfielder
Anthony Bileddo (Carle Place, N.Y.) beat two defenders along the right side and end line to notch his eighth goal of the season 2:46 in, before setting up Mejia for the rookie's eighth goal of the season less than six minutes later.
Sarah Lawrence pulled two goals back, netting a direct kick in the 67th minute before closing to within a 3-2 count with 17:17 remaining. From there, the Rams did not concede a shot to the Gryphons for the remainder of the match, locking up the Senior Night victory and conference-championship berth.
