FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State women's soccer team earned a 10-0 victory over Skyline opponent Old Westbury on Wednesday evening. The Rams had eight different goal scorers as they improved to 6-0-3 in conference play.
FSC (7-7-4) opened the scoring 11 minutes in after senior forward
Alyse Rivera (Manhattan, N.Y.) intercepted a goal kick by the Panthers (5-10-2, 3-6-0 Skyline) and passed to freshman forward
Rachel McAuliff (Sayville, N.Y.) for her 11th goal of the season to put Farmingdale State in front, 1-0.
Only 44 seconds later, Rivera dribbled through a pair of defenders and ripped a shot from 25 yards out to go ahead, 2-0.Â
With just over 30 minutes remaining in the first half, FSC extended their lead to three following a goal by sophomore forward
Stephanie Alberghine (Medford, N.Y.) off the double assist by McAuliff and sophomore
Kayla Mendez (Staten Island, N.Y.).
In the 23rd minute, Alberghine drew a foul just inside the box and set up a penalty kick goal for Rivera to take a 4-0 lead.
The Rams added a late first half goal by sophomore forward
Julia Rebich (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) off the pass by sophomore defender
Haley Hill (Schodack, N.Y.) as FSC led 5-0 at the break.
Farmingdale State led 6-0 following a goal by freshman forward
Kaitlyn Loughran (Smithtwon, N.Y.), before sophomore forward
Katelyn Armstrong (Pembroke, N.H.) produced her second of the season to put FSC in front, 7-0.
Rivera completed a hat trick with 20:05 left to play after rifling a shot off the pass from freshman forward
Bianca Ferraro (Massapequa, N.Y.) past the OW goalkeeper to take an 8-0 advantage.

Shirley Hernandez (Long Beach, N.Y.) and
Madison Deskins (Palm Bay, FL), and
Ava Lanza (East Meadow, N.Y.), from
Lauren Keach (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and Rebich, down the stretch as they went on for the 10-0 Skyline victory.
Rivera finished with eight points on three goals and two assists. She now leads the Conference with 33 points and is second with 11 goals. Rivera also ranks ninth in the NCAA with 11 assists and is the National leader with two penalty kick scores.
