FARMINGDALE, N.Y. |Â Eastern (Pa.) University scored three first-half goals en route to a 4-1 non-conference victory over the Farmingdale State men's soccer team on Saturday afternoon.Â
The visiting Eagles (2-1) received goals from Evan Cope in the 12th and 38th minutes to go up by a pair, before Ethan Pfau netted three minutes before the interval to send Eastern into halftime up by a 3-0 score.
FSC (1-1-1) pulled one back in the 67th minute of play, when sophomore winger
Tyree Baskin Jr. (Freeport, N.Y.) received a left-side diagonal down the channel from junior striker
Joseph Raso (E. Islip, N.Y.), and beat the keeper to the lower-left corner to bring the hosts to within a 3-1 count.
Zach Sievert provided the insurance goal for Eastern four-plus minutes from the final whistle when he put home his own rebound.
