FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | Eastern (Pa.) University scored three first-half goals en route to a 4-1 non-conference victory over the Farmingdale State men's soccer team on Saturday afternoon.

The visiting Eagles (2-1) received goals from Evan Cope in the 12th and 38th minutes to go up by a pair, before Ethan Pfau netted three minutes before the interval to send Eastern into halftime up by a 3-0 score.

FSC (1-1-1) pulled one back in the 67th minute of play, when sophomore winger Tyree Baskin Jr. (Freeport, N.Y.) received a left-side diagonal down the channel from junior striker Joseph Raso (E. Islip, N.Y.), and beat the keeper to the lower-left corner to bring the hosts to within a 3-1 count.

Zach Sievert provided the insurance goal for Eastern four-plus minutes from the final whistle when he put home his own rebound.

The Rams outshot the visitors by a 17-13 margin, forcing Eagles keeper Ty Bleiler to make eight saves, while one FSC shot was cleared off the line by a defender. Senior goalie Justin Silva (Bellerose, N.Y.) made three saves for the hosts.

Farmingdale State will next host non-conference opponent Hunter College on Monday, September 11, at 4:00 p.m.
