FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team hosted Ramapo College and Misericordia University for a non-cnference tri-match on Saturday. The Rams fell to both the Roadrunners and the Cougars by a 3-1Â decision. FSC now stands at 3-6 on the 2023 campaign. Ramapo (10-0) defeated Misericordia (10-6)Â in the neutral match to remain undefeated on the season.
In the first match against the Roadrunners, Farmingdale State edged out a 25-23 win in the first set before falling 25-15, 25-20 and 25-6 in the next three.
Senior outside
Madeline Stanley (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) tallied a team-high nine kills, while junior middle
Mikayla Profeta (West Islip, N.Y.) recorded eight kills, four digs and three blocks. Senior middle blocker
Kalena Ricketts (Cambria Heights, N.Y.) registered six kills and hit .417 in just one set played. Senior
Chrissy Hobson (Bellport, N.Y.) produced a season-high five kills to go with one block assist. Junior libero
Lana Ventura (Port Washington, N.Y.) had 15 digs and freshman setter
Sarah Rende (Wantagh, N.Y.) finished with 29 assists.
Ramapo was led by Maliyah LeBrie, who tallied a match-high 15 kills.
After splitting the first two sets against Misericordia, Farmingdale State fell, 25-19, in the third and 25-20 in the fourth as they lost, 3-1.
Stanley produced a match-high 16 kills and 17 digs for FSC, while freshman middle blocker
Stephanie Nemecek (Farmingdale, N.Y.) hit at a .625 clip with six kills. Profeta tallied five kills and freshman outside
Bailey Katz (Pelham, N.Y.) added four kills.Â
Fiona Pyfer led Misericordia with 13 kills and 10 digs.
The women's volleyball team next returns to Skyline Conference play when they host Mount Saint Vincent for a match on Tuesday, September 26th at 6:00 p.m.
