FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College women's volleyball team opened its season Friday night at the Walter A. Lynch Sports Center, with visiting Ramapo College of New Jersey capturing a straight-sets victory over the Rams (25-18, 25-22, 25-13).

Head coach Kellie Block's Farmingdale State squad next takes to the road on Tuesday (Sept. 5), when it travels to Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y., for a 6 p.m. first serve at Bard College.
