FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The ninth-ever induction class into the Farmingdale State College Athletics Hall of Fame entered into the school's history books last Friday (Sept. 29), with the dozen individuals representing excellence both in competition and administration to their respective Rams' programs.
With the 12 honorees joining, the Athletics Hall of Fame now has 81 members – all of whom are displayed prominently in the foyer of Nold Hall on the Farmingdale State campus.
2023 Farmingdale State College Athletics Hall of Fame Inductees
- Katrina Cerverizzo, women's soccer (2008-11)
- Four-time All-Skyline Conference selection
- Three-time NSCAA All-Region honoree
- Enters the Hall ranking third all-time at FSC in career goals scored (37), and fifth in career points (84)
- Faustine Chukwuezi, women's indoor and outdoor track and field (2009-13)
- Holds school indoor records in the 4x200m relay (1:47.28), triple jump (37-10.5)
- School outdoor record holder in 4x100m relay (48.44), 4x200m relay (1:43.65)
- Holds all three relay records with fellow inductees Kathleen Clermont and Victoria Mandat, along with Hall of Famer Corine Magee
- Kathleen Clermont, women's indoor and outdoor track and field (2009-13)
- On FSC indoor school-record-holding 4x200m relay team (1:47.28)
- School outdoor record holder in 4x100m relay (48.44), 4x200m relay (1:43.65)
- Holds all three records with fellow inductees Faustine Chukwuezi and Victoria Mandat, along with Hall of Famer Corine Magee
- Kevin Curtis, baseball (2008-11)
- Two-time All-Region selection and Skyline Conference Player of the Year
- Member of 2009 Rams team that advanced to NCAA Division III College World Series
- Holds school career records in RBI (115), total bases (220), putouts (935) and double plays turned (38)
- Nicole Farber, softball (2008-11)
- Four-time All-Skyline Conference selection, and two-time Player of the Year honoree
- Three-time All-Region performer
- Holds 10 career school records, including batting average (.448), slugging percentage (.818), games played (168), home runs (40) and RBI (206)
- Michael Harrington, director of athletics/coach (1983-2022)
- Served as Director of Athletics from 1999-2022
- Was the Rams' head women's basketball coach from 1990-2000
- Earned the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Professional Service in 2004
- Richard Hume, coach/administrator/chair of FSC Intercollegiate Athletics Board (1982-present)
- Campus administrator from 1982-2015, including 15 years as Farmingdale State's Controller
- Chaired the FSC Intercollegiate Athletics Board from 2002-15, while still serving on the Board today
- Served as assistant coach of women's basketball (1991-2000), and serves as associate men's and women's tennis coach (2015-present)
- George LaRosa, vice president (1976-2017)
- Served as FSC's senior vice president and chief financial officer
- Was the athletic department's direct report prior to his retirement
- Officer in Charge at the College from 2006-07
- Victoria Mandat, women's indoor and outdoor track and field (2009-13)
- Holds individual indoor school records in the 55m hurdles (8.50) and 60m hurdles (9.12)
- Tops the FSC outdoor record books in the 100m hurdles (15.02)
- Along with fellow inductees Faustine Chukwuezi and Kathleen Clermont, along with Hall of Famer Corine Magee, is in the school record books for the indoor 4x200m relay (1:47.28), along with the outdoor 4x100m (48.44) and 4x200m (1:43.65) teams
- Nicole Marzocca, women's lacrosse (2012-15)
- Four-time All-Skyline Conference selection, including being honored as its Player of the Year in 2015
- Two-time IWLCA All-Region honoree
- Holds FSC career records in goals (199), assists (148) and points (347)
- Reggie Routier, men's indoor and outdoor track and field (2004-08)
- Two-time CTC indoor champion, including in 2008 when he won the ECAC title
- Qualified for the 2008 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship in the triple jump – one of just 12 student-athletes selected for the event
- Presently ranks second in the triple jump (47-5.25) and sixth in 55m hurdles (7.98) in the FSC indoor record books, as well as ranking third all-time in the outdoor triple jump (47-0.25)
- Christy Thoden, women's lacrosse (2012-15)
- Four-time All-Skyline Conference honoree, including its Player of the Year award in 2014
- Two-time IWLCA All-Region selection
- Holds FSC career records for ground balls (233), draw controls (528) and caused turnovers (161), while ranking second in all three scoring categories (161-135–296)
