Farmingdale State - 9; William Paterson - 0
WAYNE, N.J. | Losing just three games across doubles competition and nine over the six singles matches combined on Wednesday night, the Farmingdale State College women's tennis team moved its winning streak to five with a 9-0, non-conference victory at William Paterson University of New Jersey.

The visiting Rams (6-2) ran through doubles play with a 3-0 lead versus the Pioneers (1-2), including an 8-0 victory at the second flight by sophomore Amanda Jones (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) and freshman Natalia Furchel (Manorville, N.Y.) against WPU's Abigail Malandro and Hannah Posser. Sophomores Gabriella Loria (Levittown, N.Y.) and Mikayla DeMaria (W. Babylon, N.Y.) dispatched third-flight opponents Emily Hoosack and Luna Kirby by an 8-1 count, while junior Lien Collings (Merrick, N.Y.) and sophomore MacKenzie Gisler teamed for an 8-2, top-flight victory against Isabella Paladino and Kourtney Hartzel.

Collings got untracked in her top-flight singles match by defeating Paladino by identical 6-2 scores, with Furchel earning a No. 2 victory against Malandro, 6-1 and 6-1. Gisler earned a third-flight, 6-0 and 6-1 triumph against Hartzel, with Loria sweeping past Posser at No. 4 without giving up a game. Sophomore Heather McGullam (Hauppauge, N.Y.) also swept past Hoosack with matching 6-0 scores in the fifth flight, while sophomore Elizabeth Cintron (Oakland Gardens, N.Y.) sliding into the No. 6 slot to topple Kirby, 6-0 and 6-2.

Head coach Adam Waterhouse's Rams are back in Skyline action Saturday (Oct. 7), when they travel to Newburgh, N.Y., for a noon first serve at Mount Saint Mary College.
