Box Score

Farmingdale State - 3; Sarah Lawrence - 0 (25-20, 25-14, 25-18)

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. | Three Farmingdale State College women's volleyball players recorded double-digit kills and plus-.300 hitting percentages Wednesday night at the Campbell Sports Center, as the Rams (11-7, 8-1) ran their winning streak to 10 consecutive matches with a straight-sets, Skyline Conference triumph at Sarah Lawrence College (11-13, 4-3 Skyline). Scores by set were 25-20, 25-14 and 25-18.

FSC senior outside hitter Cathleen Farrell (Bayport, N.Y.) led all players with 13 kills and a .367 hitting percentage, while junior Kalena Ricketts (Cambria Hts., N.Y.) put down 12 kills on .318 hitting -- marking her fifth-straight match hitting .300 or better, and seven of the last eight outings. Sophomore middle blocker Mikayla Profeta (Knoxville, Tenn.) hit at a .357 clip, and registered 10 kills for the fourth time this campaign. The Rams hit .267 as a team on the evening, with setters Danielle Marullo (Fr.; Patchogue, N.Y.) and Lexi Cavalieri (Sr.; Lake Grove, N.Y.) dishing out 20 and 19 assists, respectively. Senior outside hitter Kate Flamio (E. Islip, N.Y.) passed a match-high 13 digs to help Farmingdale State's transition game.

The host Gryphons jumped out to a 6-3 lead early in set one, before Profeta and Farrell had three and two kills, respectively, to put the visitors in front for good with a 7-1 run. SLC pulled to within one point as late as 21-20, before Flamio put down a kill on a sideout and Marullo served out the rest of the stanza.

A kill by Ricketts on a sideout midway through set two was the start of seven-consecutive points behind Flamio's serving, putting the Rams in front by a commanding 22-13 edge en route to an 11-point victory to move ahead in the match by a 2-0 score.

Sarah Lawrence led the third frame by a 12-9 edge, before FSC pushed points in a 10-1 spurt to set the stage for the straight-sets sweep.

Head coach Kellie Block's Farmingdale State side will now travel to New York, N.Y., Friday night at 7 p.m., for a non-conference match at Baruch College.
