Staten Island, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's indoor track team finished in 5th and 8th place, respectively, at the 2017 NJAC Championships on Monday night. The Championships took place at the Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Center in Staten Island, N.Y.
Rams junior Nicolas Fratto (Farmingdale, N.Y.) won the 200m in an ECAC qualifying 22.59 seconds. He also placed 8th in the 60m, running a 7.15 in the finals. He ran a 7.12 in the trials to move to #3 in the All-Time list.
Sophomore Christopher Pensa (Levittown, N.Y.) took 2nd place in the Weight Throw, with a toss of 50' 2" (15.29m), also qualifying for the ECAC's.
Sophomore Philip Sellitto (Levittown, N.Y.) finished 3rd in the 400m with a time of 51.50, while the men's 4x200m Relay team of Sellitto, Jason Meyler, Idowu Bamisile, and Fratto took 3rd place at 1:31.45. The relay team moved to #5 All-Time in that event, along with qualifying for ECAC's.
