RESULTS
PHILADELPHIA | The Farmingdale State College indoor track & field teams took part in the first night of the 2026 New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships Saturday, and the men's squad sits in fourth place with 21 points, while the women's side checks in with a sixth-place total of 10 points.

Due to the inclement weather forecasted for the Northeast Corridor, the second and final day of the championships will now take place Friday (February 27) at 3:30 p.m. from the University of Pennsylvania's Ott Center.

Fourteen of the men's team's points came in the shot put, with junior Adonias Mercado (Hillsdale, N.Y.) winning the event with a mark of 16.30 meters (53 feet, 5.75 inches), while freshman Xavier Myers (West Babylon, N.Y.) placed fifth (14.16m; 46-5.75) with a mark that is good for No. 7 on Farmingdale State's all-time performance list.

FSC's remaining points came in the two relay events of the evening. The distance medley relay team of junior Matthew Rintoul (Lake Grove, N.Y.), sophomore Davian Rodriguez (West Islip, N.Y.), sophomore Aaron Rivera (Levittown, N.Y.) and junior Gabriel Aguilar (Levittown, N.Y.) ran to a fifth-place time of 11:16.37, while the sixth-place 4x200 meter relay quartet of sophomore Matthew Alicea (Mamaroneck, N.Y.), freshman Xavier Anthony (Dix Hills, N.Y.), senior Dontay Taylor (Layou, St. Vincent and the Grenadines) and sophomore Nathaniel White (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) clocked a time of 1:29.62 that is good for the fourth-best mark in program history.

Through four events, freshman Ethan Zacarolli (Hillsdale, N.Y.) sits in first place in the heptathlon with 2,700 points, which included the top mark in the competition in the high jump (1.92m), as well as second-place efforts in the 60-meter dash (7.29) and long jump (6.57m).

Women's senior multi-event specialist Olivia Finnegan (Massapequa, N.Y.) placed fifth in the heptathlon with a career-best total of 2,640 points (No. 4 all-time at Farmingdale State), including top-four showings in the high jump (3rd; 1.45m) and shot put (4th; 7.55m).

Farmingdale State also took home sixth-place finishes in the two women's relay events, including a season-best time of 1:53.32 (No. 9 in program history) in the 4x200 race with Emily Graziano (Fr.; East Islip, N.Y.), Mia Harris (Sr.; Manhattan, N.Y.), Ifeoluwa Longe (Jr.; Roosevelt, N.Y.) and Alice Valenzuela (So.; Elmont, N.Y.). The quartet of Graziano, Harris, freshman Amelia Vitale (Hauppauge, N.Y.) and Valenzuela registered a time of 14:20.26 in the distance medley relay, which ranks eighth all-time at FSC.
