FSC Rolls in Win at Sarah Lawrence

Bronxville, N.Y. - In a Skyline Conference women's volleyball match at Sarah Lawrence, the Rams recorded their fifth consecutive straight set 3-0 victory.

Farmingdale State (14-6, 7-1) captured the opening set 25-17 and followed with 25-15 and 25-17 wins for the sweep.

Freshman setter Julia Hande (Islip, N.Y.) tallied team-highs in both kills (10) and assists (15), while adding seven digs and three blocks for FSC. Sophomore setter Lauren Anne Strezenec (Merrick, N.Y.) also had 15 assists to go along with eight digs and four aces and junior middle blocker Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) totaled six kills and a game-high four blocks. Junior defensive specialist Stephanie Etersque (Deer Park, N.Y.) recorded a game-high 14 digs in the victory.

The Gryphons (13-11, 4-5) were led offensively by freshman outside Francesca Kohani's (Carlsbad, Calif.) game-high 12 kills.

Farmingdale State next will travel to Old Westbury for a Skyline Conference match on Sunday, October 23rd at 1:00 p.m. The Rams will be holding their senior day at OW tomorrow as Christina Hickey (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.), Barbara Wright (Farmingdale, N.Y.), Alanna Garvey (St. James, N.Y.) and Katie DeGraff (Amityville, N.Y.) will be honored prior to the match.
