Farmingdale State - 3, Maritime - 0 (25-14, 25-9, 25-12)

Farmingdale, N.Y. - In the first Skyline match of the year, the Farmingdale State women's volleyball team earned a 3-0 win over Maritime on Wednesday evening. The Rams improved to 2-12, 1-0, while the Privateers dropped to 0-7, 0-1.

Junior outside Sarah Palladino (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) led the way for Farmingdale State with 14 assists, seven service aces and four digs. Freshmen Barbara Wright (Farmingdale, N.Y.), Nicky Young (Queens, N.Y.), and Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) each had a team-high five kills for the Rams.

Farmingdale State next will travel to Carnegie Mellon University for the DoubleTree Tournament on Friday, September 20th and Saturday, September 21st. On Friday, the Rams will face John Carroll at 6:00 p.m. and Case Western Reserve at 8:00 p.m.
