New York, N.Y. - In the 2012 Skyline Conference Pre-Season Coaches' Poll, Farmingdale State was picked as the favorite to win the league, receiving five first-place votes.

Last year, Farmingdale State was 12-4 in conference play and 27-17 overall. Returning for the Rams are two 2011 First-Team All-Conference players, pitcher Christian Bula and outfielder Terrence Bohonan. They also have three second-team players coming back: pitcher Chris Phelan, third baseman Ryan McAllister, and designated hitter David Zilnicki.

Right behind the Rams is St. Joseph's-L.I., which earned four first place votes, after compiling a 14-2 Skyline record. The Golden Eagles return two first-team juniors from last year, second baseman Dennis Nover and outfielder Prateek Thaman.

Old Westbury came in third in the Pre-Season Poll after posting a 9-7 conference record, and a 24-20 overall record. They will be led by first-team catcher Anthony Orsano, who is entering his senior year, as well as 2011 Rookie of the Year, pitcher Tyler Levine.

Mount Saint Mary came in fourth, followed by Purchase, Mount Saint Vincent, Maritime, NYU-Poly, and Yeshiva.
