Box Score Rams Defeat Mount Saint Vincent for Skyline Win

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's lacrosse
team picked up their fourth consecutive win this afternoon,
defeating Skyline opponent Mount Saint Vincent 23-4. The Rams
improved to 9-3 overall, 2-0 in the Skyline Conference, while the
Dolphins dropped to 5-5, 0-1 in conference play.
Farmingdale sophomore midfielder Jimmy Owsinski (Kings Park,
N.Y./Kings Park) scored the games first goal off a pass from
freshman attack Pete Siemsen (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) 1:48
into the contest. The Rams added three more goals in the first and
led 4-0 after one quarter. Farmingdale State scored 11 unanswered
goals in the second, before sophomore attack Rowan Frederick
(Brooklyn, N.Y./Midwood) got Mount Saint Vincent on the board with
two seconds remaining before halftime.
In the second half, the Rams outscored the Dolphins 8-3 and
earned their second Skyline Conference win of the season.
Sophomore attack Erick Thomson (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park) and
junior attack Rob Nosworthy (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) each
scored three goals for Farmingdale State. Siemsen and junior attack
Wes Hubschmitt (Seaford, N.Y./Seaford) both scored two goals and
had three assists. Sophomore midfielder Joe Nacarlo (West Babylon,
N.Y./West Babylon) was 14-for-19 on faceoffs and had a game-high 10
ground balls, while junior midfielder Adam Zuar (Lindenhurst,
N.Y./Lindenhurst) was 7-for-11 for the Rams.
Freshman midfielders Miller Celestin (Brooklyn, N.Y./Midwood)
and Ahmed Ajao (Brooklyn, N.Y./FDA) along with junior midfielder
Chris Guastamacchia (Goshen, N.Y./Burke Catholic) and Frederick
each scored one goal apiece for Mount Saint Vincent.
Sophomore goalkeeper Patrick Delventhal (Westbury, N.Y./Holy
Trinity) played the first half for Farmingdale and made two saves
and freshman Sean Martin (Huntington Station, N.Y./Walt Whitman)
made five saves in the second half. Senior goalie Mike Nuzzi
(Westbury, N.Y./Clarke) had 11 saves in the loss for Mount Saint
Vincent.
The Rams will host Richard Stockton in a Skyline Conference game
on Saturday, April 10th at 1:00 p.m.
