Lang Leads Rams Past Old Westbury

Old Westbury, N.Y. - Junior midfielder Ryan Lang's (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) goal late in the first half leads Farmingdale State to a Skyline Conference win over Old Westbury. The Rams improved to 8-9-1 overall and 6-3 in the Skyline, while the Panthers dropped to 11-7, 6-3 in conference play.

Farmingdale State was outshot 15-5 in the first half, but Lang connected on his shot attempt as he scored the games only goal off the pass from junior midfielder Ryan Hartman (Brooklyn, N.Y./Deer Park) at the 37:54 mark.

In the second half, the Rams tightened their defense allowing the Panthers only two shots on goal. Junior goalkeeper Ricky Meschkow (Plainview, N.Y./Plainview-Old Bethpage) made nine saves in the 1-0 shutout victory for Farmingdale State.

The Rams next will close out the regular season at home on senior day against Mount Saint Vincent. Farmingdale will host the Dolphins on Saturday, October 23rd at noon.
