Mandat Breaks School Record in 55m Hurdles

Wesleyan University - Middletown, Conn.
Middletown, Conn. - Freshman Victoria Mandat
(West Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) won the 55m hurdles in a school
record 8.78, improving her previous ECAC qualifying mark. Freshman
Corine Magee (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd) won the 55m in 7.31
(7.43 trials) and the 200m in 26.50. Freshman Faustine
Chukwuezi (Central Islip, N.Y./Central Islip), a National Triple
Jump qualifier, won the triple jump with a leap of 11.08m
(36' 4 1/4”)
The women's team is ranked 20th nationally and has an NCAA
qualifier as well as four individuals and one relay qualified for
the ECAC Championships. They have broken four school records this
season.
