Box Score Rams Top Sage in Skyline Game

Stillwater, N.Y. - The Sage Colleges women's
soccer team hosted Farmingdale State on Tuesday night in a Skyline
Conference match. The Rams took the 2-0 win to improve their season
mark to 11-4-3 overall, 6-0-1 in the conference. Sage fell to 7-6-1
overall, 4-4 in the Skyline.
Freshman forward Christina Merrill (Levittown, N.Y./Island Trees)
put Farmingdale on the scoreboard by converting a corner kick at
the 7:25 mark. The goal was her seventh of the year and her second
game-winner this season. Freshman Jamie Smith (Holtsville,
N.Y./Sachem East) also scored her seventh goal, with a score at
69:22 to give the Rams a 2-0 lead.
Farmingdale State freshman goalkeeper Stacey Rao (Ronkonkoma,
N.Y./Connetquot) played the first half, making a pair of saves,
while freshman Maggie Studsrud (Staten Island, N.Y./Susan E.
Wagner) came in to complete the Rams 11th shutout of the year.
Gator's junior goalkeeper Brittany McDonald (Schenectady,
N.Y./Schalmont) as she made 10 saves on the night.
The Rams will travel to Mount Saint Mary College on Thursday,
October 29th for a Skyline game at 7:00 p.m., before wrapping up
the regular season with a home game on Saturday, October 31st
against the College of Mount Saint Vincent at 1:00 p.m.
