Box Score Cipra's Overtime Goal Leads Rams Past Hunter

Farmingdale, N.Y. - Senior defender Marcos Cipra
(Long Beach, N.Y./Long Beach) scored the games only goal for
Farmingdale State on a header off the pass from freshman midfielder
Brian Anderson (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) with 2:06 remaining in
the first overtime period. The Rams won their sixth consecutive
game, improving to 8-4-1 on the season. Hunter College now holds an
overall record of 5-8-1.
After a scoreless first half, Hunter's best scoring oppertunity
came on a shot in front of the net by sophomore forward Saif
Zureikat (Amman, Jordan/Cardozo) at the 60th minute which was saved
by sophomore goalkeeper Ricky Meschkow (Plainview, N.Y./Plainview).
Farmingdale held a slight 12-11 shot advantage in regulation.
Cipra would seal the non-conference win for the Rams with his
header to the left corner of the net at the 97:54 mark.
Meschkow had five saves in goal for Farmingdale and freshman
Murtaza Munir (Staten Island, N.Y./Benjamin Banneker) had four
saves in the loss for the Hawks.
The Rams travel to Vassar College for a non-conference game on
Saturday, October 17th at 11:00am.
