Head Coach: Brooke Cole (First season in 2026)
Brooke Cole was named the head coach of the Farmingdale State women’s volleyball program in December 2025. She has been a member of the FSC coaching staff since 2021, most recently serving as associate head coach. In that role, she contributed to all facets of the program, including practice planning, match preparation, recruiting, and student-athlete development.
Cole brings more than two decades of coaching experience to Farmingdale State through her work with Academy Volleyball, where she has served as a director and coach since its inception in 2004. She has overseen technical, tactical, and physical training for athletes across multiple levels, while helping implement a development model that includes competition schedules, academic guidance, and long-term athlete instruction.
A Long Island native, Cole earned her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University at Buffalo in 1994 and her master’s degree in Education from Dowling College in 2010.
Brooke and her husband, Rick, who is the Vice President and Director of Athletics at Hofstra University, reside in Oakdale, N.Y. They have three children, Taylor, Mackenzie, and Trey, all of whom played Division I collegiate volleyball.
