Biography

Sam is a 2011 graduate of Deer Park High School, where she was named All-County, All-Conference and All-League for soccer. She also was named to the Academic Honor Roll at Deer Park. Sam is the daughter of Patricia and John Johrden.

Senior year...Started 23 games, including 18 in left field...Batted .244 in 45 at-bats with 11 hits and 10 runs scored.

Junior year...Started 26-of-28 games in the outfield...Batted .146 and made 34 putouts and three assists with a perfect fielding percentage.

Sophomore year...Started 35 games in right field with one start in center and two at second base...Led the team with 11 walks...Finished with a .233 average and .320 on-base %.

Freshman year...Appeared in 36 games, while starting 30...Batted .338 with 24 hits and 20 runs scored.
