Biography

Hunter is a 2016 graduate of Sayville High School, where he was named All-County, 10th Team All-State, All-Long Island and was a leading scoring on Long Island. Hunter transferred to Farmingdale State after playing three seasons of basketball at The College of New Rochelle. He is the son of Harry and Linda Schenkel.

Senior year...Named First Team All-Skyline...Appeared in 24 games with 23 starts...Led the team in scoring (15.7 ppg) and field goals made (121), was second in both free-throw percentage (82%) and 3-point field goal percentage (41%), third for blocks (15) and fourth in rebounds per game (4.8)...In the conference, ranked third in free-throw percentage, fourth in 3-point field goal percentage, fifth for 3's made per game (2.7), 12th in field goal percentage, 14th for scoring and 17th in blocks shots...Scored a career-high 28 points versus Plattsburgh State on November 15, 2019.
