Biography

Amaris is a 2017 graduate of Central Islip High School, where she earned both All-League (2x) and All-County honors (1x). Amaris is the daughter of Julio A. Negron and Irene Rodriguez.

Junior year...Named Second Team All-Conference....Appeared in 21 games, with 18 starts...Ranked third on the Rams in stolen bases (7), was fourth for batting average (.375), fifth for on-base percentage (.434), sixth for hits (18), seventh in runs (12) and eighth for both total bases (19) and slugging percentage (.396)...In the Skyline, she was eighth for stolen bases and sacrifice bunts (2).

Sophomore year...Played in 18 games with nine starts...Batted .233 on the year, scored seven runs and had 6 RBI.

Freshman year...Named First Team All-Conference...Appeared in and started 25 games...Led the team in triples (3) and slugging percentage (.565), ranked second in batting average (.355) and assists (32), third in runs scored (18), fourth in home runs (1) and putouts (53) and fifth in hits (22) and total bases (35)...In the Skyline, ranked third for triples and eighth in slugging percentage.
