Biography

Marlaina is a 2011 graduate of Miller Place High School, where she was named the teams Most Valuable Player. Prior to transferring to Farmingdale State, Marlaina attended Suffolk Community College where she played basketball and soccer. She is the daughter of LauraAnn Sherman.

Junior year...Started 24-of-27 games...Posted a school record for blocked shots with 74, which was also tops in the Skyline...Tied the school record of 6 blocks in a game against Sage...Nationally ranked 22nd in Division III with 2.74 blocks per game...Averaged 7.3 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
