Lyndsey is a 2018 graduate of Sayville High School, where she was named All-County (4x), All-State (2x), All-Long Island (2x), All-Tournament (2x), Field Player of the Year (2x) and All-League. Her team captured the Suffolk County and Long Island Championships twice. She was also an NFCA All-American and NFCA All-Academic winner. Lyndsey transferred to Farmingdale State after playing one season of softball at Hofstra University. She is the daughter of Geri and Billy Shaw.
2022...NFCA Second-Team All-Region III as a catcher...First-Team All-Skyline Conference...one-time Skyline Player of the Week (April 11)...started in all 33 of her appearances behind the dish...led the Rams (No. 7 in Skyline, No. 77 in NCAA) with a .450 batting average, posting the top mark on the team in most offensive categories...her .908 slugging percentage (No. 2 in FSC history) ranked No. 8 in the nation, while also ranking in Division III in home runs per game (29th, 0.27), runs per game (40th, 1.18) and RBI per game (43rd, 1.15)...six triples tied for the third-best single-season mark at Farmingdale State (T-14th in D-III), while her 99 total bases (No. 33 nationally) rank fourth, nine home runs rank fifth, and 38 RBI (No. 93 nationally) tie for ninth...picked off four opposing base-runners from behind the plate.
Sophomore year...Named First Team All-Conference...Led the Rams in hits (36), runs scored (22), home runs (4), doubles (8) and total bases (58), ranked second for on-base percentage (.462) and slugging percentage (.682), third for batting average (.424), runs batted in (17) and triples (1) and sixth in walks (4)...In the Conference, she ranked second in home runs, third for at-bats (85), sixth in hits, seventh for slugging percentage and doubles, and 14th for batting average and runs scored.
