Biography

Alyssa is a 2021 graduate of H Frank Carey High School, where she won the NYSAHPERD Physical Education Award. Alyssa, a black belt in karate, also earned All-County Honorable Mention. She is the daughter of George and Dianne Cowen.

2025...Second Team All-Skyline Conference...NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete...Academic All-District selection...Played in every game...Ranked fifth on the team with nine stolen bases and was sixth with 22 runs scored...Hit .412 with eight runs batted in.
2024...NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete...Academic All-District selection as chosen by College Sports Communicators...Skyline Conference Academic Honor Roll...started at second base in all 40 of her appearances, scoring 11 runs, stealing six bases and ranking sixth in the conference with 59 assists in the field.

2023...Academic All-District selection as chosen by College Sports Communicators...started in 36 of her 37 appearances, scoring 13 runs and dropping down eight sacrifices (No. 3 on the Rams).

2022...Saw action in 26 games, making 18 starts -- predominantly in the outfield...batted .250 with nine runs scored and six RBI...registered a .981 fielding percentage, with just one error committed in 53 total chances.
