Samuele graduated from Liceo Scientifico Mericianum in 2013. He is the son of Valentino Riva and Mariagrazia Ferretti.

Sophomore year...Appeared in 18 games...switched to a defensive position...Named Second Team All-Skyline...Named to the Skyline Academic Honor Roll.

Freshman year...Appeared in 14 games...Ranked second on the Rams in goals (8) and third in points (17)...Scored the game-winning goal in the 2-1 victory over Old Westbury...Named to the Skyline Academic Honor Roll.
