J.T. is a 2012 graduate of Island Trees High School, where he was a 2-time All-County and All-Conference player. J.T.'s teams were 2-time League Champions. He is the son of John and Chrissy Famularo.

Junior year...Named First Team All-Skyline and NSCAA Third Team All-East Region...Started every game...Led the team in goals (9) and points (23) and was second on the Rams with five assists...Ranked seventh in the conference in both points and goals and was 10th in assists.
Sophomore year...Started all 20 games...Led FSC in points (16) and assists (6) and was second in goals (5).
Freshman year...Started every game...Led the team in goals (7) and points (15)...Recorded a team-leading three game winning goals.
