Biography

Nicholas graduated from St. Anthony's High School in 2011, where he was a member of the National Honor Society.. He transferred from NYIT, where he played one season. He is the son of Lawrence and Joanne Mattei.

Senior year...Appeared in all 16 games and had 10 ground balls, eight face-off victories and caused five turnovers.

Junior year...Played in nine games and picked up seven ground balls.

Sophomore year...Appeared in 15 games with one game started...Finished 7th in the conference for faceoff percentage (.500)...Scored two goals, picked up 37 ground balls and caused 12 turnovers.
