Biography

Shawn is a 2012 graduate of Rocky Point High School, where he was named All-League. Shawn transferred to Farmingdale State after playing baseball at Suffolk Community College. He is the son of Darryl and Patty Blasberg.

Senior year...Appeared in 36 games, with 33 starts...Ranked second on FSC with three triples and fourth with 21 runs scored and 12 walks...Tallied 24 hits, 13 RBI's and 35 total bases while holding a .962 fielding percentage.

Junior year...Played in and started 33 games...Led the team in runs scored (19), ranked second in at-bats (102), stolen bases (10) and assists (86), third in hits (31), fourth in runs batted in (14) and doubles (2) and fifth in batting average (.304) and total bases (34)...Ranked seventh in the conference for assists.
