Biography

Jimmy is a 2016 graduate of West Islip High School, where he was named All-County, All-League and MVP. Before transferring to Farmingdale State, Jimmy played baseball at Suffolk County Community College. He is the son of Candy and Nick Mattera.

Junior year...Played in 29 games, including six games on the mound...Hit .352 in 54 at-bats with 17 runs scored and five walks...Held a 2.92 earned run average in 12.1 innings pitched and struck out nine.
