KINGS POINT, N.Y. | Despite holding a 17-5 shots advantage, the Farmingdale State College women's soccer team suffered a 1-0, Skyline Conference loss Tuesday night at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
USMMA (3-0-4, 3-0-2 Skyline) notched the lone goal of the game midway through the first half, when Ainsley Carlon scored on her team's only shot of the period.Â
FSC (5-3-1, 2-1) peppered the Mariners with 14 shots the rest of the way, including efforts off the crossbar early in the second half by junior

Riley Febbroriello (Clinton, Conn.), but were unable to find the equalizer. The Rams had a corner kick inside the final minute of action in an attempt to level the match, however Febbroriello's shot off the set piece was turned aside by the USMMA goalkeeper.
Farmingdale State returns to Skyline action Saturday at 1:30 p.m., when it travels to Patchogue, N.Y., to face off against St. Joseph's-Long Island.
