FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College women's soccer team fell to the University of Scranton, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action at the Nold Hall Athletic Complex.
Scranton (3-1-2) scored five times in the opening half before adding two more goals in the final 45 minutes. The Royals finished with a 21-5 advantage in shots and held a 14-3 edge in shots on goal.
FSC (4-2-1) goalkeeper Riana Herold (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) played all 90 minutes in net for the Rams and made seven saves. Junior midfielder Abigail Chest (Johnstown, N.Y.) led Farmingdale State with two shots, including one on target, while junior midfielder Taylor Boes (Holbrook, N.Y.) and sophomore midfielder Ella Hebler (East Greenbush, N.Y.) each recorded a shot on goal.
Farmingdale State will return to Skyline Conference play on Tuesday, September 22nd, when they host Maritime at 4 p.m. Prior to the match, the Rams will celebrate its sixth Skyline Conference Presidents Cup, with the ceremony scheduled to begin at approximately 3:45 p.m.
