Tommy Mai (Islip, N.Y.) scored four of his five goals in the first half Saturday afternoon, as the Farmingdale State College men's lacrosse team raced out to a 9-1 halftime advantage on its way to a 16-5, Skyline Conference victory at Manhattanville University.

Mai wrapped up his hat trick less than two minutes into the second quarter, before the Valiants (4-8, 2-3) got on the scoreboard on an extra-man goal with 11:39 on the clock. Mai responded with his fourth score of the afternoon on an assist from senior
Casey Fortunato (Northport, N.Y.) at 7:08, before Forchelli buried his second goal of the afternoon 1:33 before account for the visitors' eight-goal halftime lead.
Vargas and Forchelli finished off their hat tricks at the 9:21 and 5:43 marks of the third quarter, respectively, as the Rams ran their lead to 13-2 on the latter goal and continued to lead by double figures the rest of the way.
