Late Rally Lifts Mount Saint Mary Past Men's Soccer

Mount Saint Mary - 2, Farmingdale State - 1
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College men's soccer team allowed two goals in the final seven minutes as they fell to Mount Saint Mary College, 2-1, in a Skyline Conference matchup on Tuesday night.

After a scoreless first half, the Rams (4-8-2, 2-4-1 Skyline) took the lead in the 75th minute. Sophomore forward Lucca Noboa (Freeport, N.Y.) made a run down the right sideline before sending a cross into the six-yard box, where sophomore midfielder Carlos Hernandez (Dix Hills, N.Y.) finished to the left post for a 1-0 advantage.

FSC looked to add to its lead, but Mount Saint Mary goalkeeper Landon Mabe made a diving save on a shot from Noboa with just under eight minutes remaining to keep the score at 1-0.

The Knights (3-6-3, 3-1-3 Skyline) then found the equalizer in the 84th minute when Dale Allison headed in a free kick from Ryan Kieser. Just over two minutes later, TJ Mark scored off a cross from Guilherme Martins to give Mount Saint Mary the lead, which it held for the 2-1 victory.

The Rams finished with a 15-14 edge in shots and put 10 attempts on target. Sophomore goalkeeper Vas Dallas (Garden City South, N.Y.) made six saves for Farmingdale State.

FSC will return to action Wednesday, October 14th, when the Rams travel to Division I Stony Brook University for a 6 p.m. matchup.
