NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference released its opening fall weekly reports Tuesday afternoon, and two student-athletes from Farmingdale State College earned a weekly award, while one other received honor roll distinction.
Women's Soccer (1-1) | Skyline Report
The Rams split a pair of contests on their trip to Tennessee over the weekend, defeating Maryville, 3-0, before falling to Sewanee, 4-0.
Senior goalkeeper
Hailey Stork (Bellmore, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Defensive Player of the Week after recording the Conference's only shutout of opening weekend, stopping five shots. She followed with an eight-save performance on Sunday at Sewanee.
Freshman forward
Paulina Fonfara (Glen Cove, N.Y.) earned Skyline Rookie of the Week honors after scoring twice in her collegiate debut to lead FSC past Maryville.
This week, the Rams return home to host Yeshiva University on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. before traveling to Drew on Saturday at noon and facing Stockton in a neutral-site matchup on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
Volleyball (2-1) | Skyline Report
The Rams opened their season with a sweep at the Rutgers-Newark tri-match last Friday, defeating the Scarlet Raiders, 3-0, and Hunter College, 3-1. FSC then dropped its first match of the year on Tuesday night, falling 3-1 at Bard.
Junior libero
Allison Salinas (Glen Cove, N.Y.) was named to the Skyline Player of the Week honor roll after starting her FSC career with a team-high 4.0 digs per set and a .974 serve receive (1 error on 38 attempts) across the Rams' pair of victories on Friday. She passed 20 digs to go with five assists in the season-opening sweep of host Rutgers-Newark and followed up with eight digs and a perfect 15-for-15 on serve receptions in a four-set win over Hunter
The Rams will play three more matches this week, beginning with their home-opener against Western Connecticut on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. FSC will then travel to SUNY Delhi for a tri-match on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
Men's Soccer (0-1) | Skyline Report
Farmingdale State dropped its season-opener at Eastern Connecticut last week, 3-1. Junior defender
Omar Hernandez (Brentwood, N.Y.) netted his first collegiate goal in the loss.
This week, the Rams will host Lehman College on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. in their home opener before heading to Rutgers-Newark for two weekend contests. They will face the Scarlet Raiders on Saturday at noon and take on TCNJ on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
Women's Tennis (0-1)
The women's tennis team traveled upstate to open the 2025 season. After Friday's match at Plattsburgh was postponed, the Rams fell to Saint Michael's, 7-0, on Saturday.
FSC continues action this week with road matches at Yeshiva (Wednesday, 7:00 p.m.) and Oneonta (Saturday, 10:00 a.m.).
Cross Country
The Farmingdale State men's and women's cross country teams will begin their seasons on Saturday at the Purchase College Invitational.
Golf
The FSC golf team will open their season with the fourth annual George Cangero Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Eisenhower Park's White Course.
