FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The FSC women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 non-conference decision to Arcadia University on Sunday afternoon in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams fell to 2-4-1 on the year, while the Knights improved to 3-1-1.
Arcadia struck early, converting a penalty kick just 8:36 into play as senior Abby Stephens buried her attempt into the top left corner.
The Knights nearly doubled their lead in the 41st minute, but a diving save by FSC senior goalkeeper
Hailey Stork (Bellmore, N.Y.) kept the Rams deficit at one. On the ensuing corner kick, another leaping stop by Stork, followed by a team save off the goal line by junior defender
Grace Williamson (East Islip, N.Y.), held Arcadia to just one goal heading into the halftime break.

Alyse Rivera (Manhattan, N.Y.) nearly tied the score in the 56th minute, but a diving stop by Knights' goalkeeper Abigail Fuchs maintained the lead.
Arcadia extended their lead to 2-0 in the 64th minute as a cross in front set up Stephens for her second goal of the game.
FSC attempted three shots down the stretch but were unable to find the back of the net as they lost, 2-0.
Stork produced seven saves in defeat, while Fuchs tallied five stops.
Farmingdale State will next play host to non-conference opponent New Paltz on Wednesday, September 17th at 7:30 p.m.
