FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State men's basketball team rolled to an 84-41 Skyline Conference victory at St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on Tuesday evening. The Rams earned their fifth straight win and improved to 14-8 overall and 11-2 in conference play.
FSC led 6-5 just over four minutes in and went on a 12-0 run, capped off by a 3-pointer by junior guard
Michael Notias (Manhasset, N.Y.), to jump ahead by 13.
With 10:23 on the clock, Farmingdale State extended the advantage to 16, 24-8, following a 3 by junior guard
Robbie Siechen (Syracuse, N.Y.) and a three-point play from senior forward
Hamdel Mohammed (Bronx, N.Y.).
FSC held a 19-point advantage, 43-24, at halftime and quickly went ahead by 24 on a
Kentrell Evans (Brooklyn, N.Y.) layup and 3-pointer from senior guard
Jevon Santos (Elmont, N.Y.).
The Rams were up by 45, their largest lead of the game, with 7:23 remaining and cruised to the 84-41 victory.
Junior guard
Sean Conroy (Staten Island, N.Y.) led all scorers with 18 points after shooting 8-for-14 from the field. Notias produced 12 points, while sophomore forward
Liam Buckley (Manhasset, N.Y.) had 10 points and four rebounds. Evans finished with six points and 10 rebounds, sophomore guard
Derek Reed (Shinnecock, N.Y.) had seven points and one rebound, and Mohammed added six points and six rebounds.
The Rams used 12 different scorers and tallied 19 assists to just eight turnovers.
Farmingdale State will next host St. Joseph's-Long Island on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. on Senior Day.
