Women's Soccer Plays to Draw at St. Joseph's-Long Island

Farmingdale State 1, St. Joseph's-Long Island 1
PATCHOGUE, N.Y. | Senior center back Alexxis McNeil (Valley Stream, N.Y.) scored on a free kick less than three minutes into action Saturday for the Farmingdale State College women's soccer team, who played host St. Joseph's University-Long Island to a 1-1 tie in Skyline Conference action.

McNeil made her presence felt less than three minutes into her 2024 debut, as she sent a 30-yard free kick into the top-left corner to give the Rams (2-5-2, 1-0-1 Skyline) an early advantage versus the Golden Eagles (4-2-1, 2-1-1).

St. Joseph's leveled the score nearly six minutes later, and despite chances from both sides, neither team found the scoresheet for the rest of the contest as the squads picked up one standings point apiece.

FSC junior keeper Kelsie Feingold (Commack, N.Y.) made three of her five saves on the afternoon in the opening 45 minutes of play.

Farmingdale State is back in road Skyline action on Wednesday night (Sept. 25), when it travels to Riverdale, N.Y., for a 7 p.m. kickoff at the University of Mount Saint Vincent.
