Volleyball Wraps Up Regular Season with Win at Yeshiva; Rams to Play Host to Skyline Tourney Match Tuesday

Farmingdale State 3, Yeshiva 0 (25-6, 25-21, 25-11)
NEW YORK | The Farmingdale State College volleyball team rounded out its regular season on Thursday night, picking up its fourth-straight win with a 3-0 decision at Skyline Conference foe Yeshiva University.

The Rams (15-7, 9-2 Skyline) finished the regular season in a three-way tie for second place in the Skyline Conference standings. By virtue of the conference's tiebreaker procedures, FSC is seeded fourth in next week's six-team, 2024 Skyline Conference Women's Volleyball Championship. Farmingdale State will play host to a first-round match on Tuesday night (Nov. 12), when it welcomes fifth-seeded Sarah Lawrence College for a 6 p.m. first serve.

Against the Maccabees (2-14, 0-11), FSC was led with 11 points from sophomore middle blocker Stephanie Nemecek (Farmingdale, N.Y.), as she registered a match-high 10 kills to go along with one solo block. Classmate and outside hitter Doly DeJesus (Geneva, N.Y.) racked up nine points on four kills and five of the visitors' 14 service aces on the night, while senior Jenya Surlin (East Meadow, N.Y.) and junior Lauren Offermann (North Babylon, N.Y.) collected six kills apiece. Sophomore setter Sarah Rende (Wantagh, N.Y.) passed 29 assists and served three aces for a Rams offense that hit .571 (13-1-21) in the first set of the night, while senior libero Lana Ventura (Port Washington, N.Y.) and junior outside Delaney Keegan (Lake Grove, N.Y.) passed 16 and 10 digs, respectively, in the FSC back row.
