Farmingdale State - 1, DeSales - 1
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. | Fresh off a late restart, junior defender
Alexxis McNeil (Valley Stream, N.Y.) provided an 83rd-minute equalizer Saturday afternoon for the Farmingdale State College women's soccer team, which played to a 1-1 draw with host DeSales University.
The visiting Rams (1-3-1) were down 1-0 at halftime, following a 15th-minute score by the Bulldogs (0-5-1) that sent the home side into the interval up by one.
FSC weathered pressure from DeSales in the second half which required sophomore keeper
Kelsie Feingold (Commack, N.Y.) to make four of her six saves on the afternoon, before finding an opportunity off a free kick in the attacking half in the 83rd minute. McNeil received a feed from freshman midfielder
Stephanie Alberghine (Medford, N.Y.) just outside the top-left of the penalty area, and blasted home her third goal of the season to the top-right corner to earn the result for the Rams.
Head coach Chris Roche's Rams wrap up their Keystone State weekend Sunday, when they head to Glenside, Pa., for a 1 p.m. kickoff at Arcadia University.
