Farmingdale State - 7; Purchase - 2
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | A sweep of all three doubles points, along with singles victories in the top-four flights, paced the Farmingdale State College women's tennis team to a 7-2 victory Monday night over Skyline Conference foe Purchase College in the fall regular-season finale for both teams.

FSC (10-3, 5-1 Skyline) is now locked into the No. 2 seed in this week's four-team, 2023 Skyline Conference Women's Tennis Championship, and will play host to third-seeded Manhattanville College in semifinal play, Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. The complete four-team field will be released later Monday evening, and head coach Adam Waterhouse's Rams will enter as defending champions and victors in three of the last four tourneys.

Farmingdale State captured all three doubles matches against the Panthers (4-6, 2-4), including an 8-2 decision in top-flight play by junior Lien Collings (Merrick, N.Y.) and MacKenzie Gisler (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) against Amelia Perlmutter and Elaina Coppola. The No. 2 pair of freshman Natalia Furchel (Manorville, N.Y.) and Amanda Jones (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) topped Olivia Menchell and Novalie Nguyen of Purchase by an 8-3 count, before sophomores Gabriella Loria (Levittown, N.Y.) and sophomore Rebecca Ness (Clintondale, N.Y.) combined to knock off Emma Arnaud and Sierra Blanco, 8-7, with a 7-3 decision in the tie-breaking game.

Jones earned the first singles point for the hosts at the No. 3 flight, defeating Arnaud by identical 6-1 scores, before Furchel's 6-1, 6-4 triumph at No. 2 versus Menchell clinched the team match for the Rams. Collings emerged victorious over Perlmutter in top-flight play, 6-2 and 7-6 (7-4), while Gisler used a third-set super-tiebreaker point at No. 4 to defeat Coppola, 6-1, 4-6 and 1-0 (12-10).
