YONKERS, N.Y. | The FSC women's soccer team fell to Skyline opponent Sarah Lawrence College, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon. The Rams dropped to 4-2-1 in Conference play, while the Gryphons remain undefeated and are 6-0-2.
In a scoreless first half, Farmingdale State held the shot advantage with five on target, to just one for SLC. After Sarah Lawrence attempted three shots and three corner kicks early, goalie Bridget Lee made five saves to keep FSC off the board.
On the opening kick of the second half, Gryphons Cora Colvin fed Katey Beaver for the lone goal of the game just ten seconds into the half to go ahead, 1-0.Â
The Rams were held to just three shots over the final 42 minutes, with the only shot on goal coming in the 76th minute by senior
Celina Schenk (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.).Â
Lee finished with six saves in the 1-0 shutout for the Gryphons.
Farmingdale State will next travel to Manhattanville for a Skyline Conference game on Wednesday, October 18th at 5:00 p.m.
