Farmingdale State - 3; Old Westbury - 1
OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. | Three different players found the back of the net Tuesday afternoon for the Farmingdale State College women's soccer team, which took advantage of a 33-6 shots advantage at Panther Park to top host SUNY Old Westbury, 3-1, in Skyline Conference play.
The visiting Rams (5-7-2, 4-1-1 Skyline) found themselves down one goal to the Panthers (5-9, 1-6) 37 minutes in, before tallying the final three markers of the contest to capture the victory. Sophomore striker
Alyse Rivera (Manhattan, N.Y.) leveled the match at 1-all on an unassisted tally 92 seconds before halftime, moving her total to eight goals scored on the campaign.
Junior midfielder
Morgan Martin (Roanoke, Va.) converted a feed from sophomore
Alexandra Coloma (Seaford, N.Y.) to score the go-ahead goal -- the first of her FSC career -- in the 67th minute, before freshman midfielder
Stephanie Alberghine (Medford, N.Y.) registered her third tally of the season just over eight minutes prior to the final whistle to put her team in front by a pair.
Sophomore keeper
Kelsie Feingold (Commack, N.Y.) made three saves in earning the victory for Farmingdale State, who held a 15-4 edge in shots on target and a 6-1 margin in corner kicks.
Head coach Chris Roche's Rams are back in Skyline action Saturday afternoon (Oct. 14), when they travel to Yonkers, N.Y., for a 3 p.m. kickoff against Sarah Lawrence College.
