Women's Soccer Downed at Penn State-Berks

Penn State-Berks - 2; Farmingdale State - 0
READING, Pa. | A pair of second-half tallies sent host Penn State University-Berks to a 2-0 decision over the Farmingdale State College women's soccer team on Sunday afternoon.

The host Nittany Lions (4-5-1) held an 9-6 advantage over the visiting Rams (4-5-2), including a 6-3 edge in shots on target.

Carly Fox scored the eventual game-winner for the Nittany Lions in the 67th minute of play, after she collected a through ball by Diana Pon and finished inside the left post to give Penn State-Berks a lead it would not relinquish.

Fox added an insurance goal just over five minutes before full time, chipping into the net to provide for the final score.

FSC sophomore keeper Gabby Pinero (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) made three of her four saves on the afternoon in the second frame.

Head coach Chris Roche's Rams, who sit at the top of the Skyline Conference table (3-0-1, 10 pts.), are back in league play Wednesday night, when they travel to Newburgh, N.Y., for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Mount Saint Mary College.
