Jessica Dautner

Jessica Dautner was named Farmingdale State College's Head Athletic Trainer in November 2021, and has served on the Rams' athletic training staff since July 2012.

Dautner began her collegiate career at Farmingdale State, as she was a student-athlete on the softball and women’s tennis teams from 2007-09. After receiving her Associate’s Degree from FSC, she transferred to SUNY Cortland to pursue the athletic training field. Dautner graduated from Cortland with a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training in December 2011, and worked closely with the Red Dragons’ field hockey and football teams. She also gained additional experience working at a local high school in Central New York, and served on Cortland's Campus Emergency Rescue Squad as a crew chief EMT. 

In spring 2012, Dautner interned at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, where she covered a variety of sports, including some professional sports such as Major League Soccer, the World Acrobatic Gymnastic Championships and the Nike Combine Camp. She also volunteered at the Empire State Senior Games in Cortland. Dautner also received a Master's Degree in Sport Management from Cortland in December 2016.

Dautner is an active member of both the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA) and the Eastern Athletic Trainer's Association (EATA). She holds a New York State licensure and became certified by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC) in 2012. Dautner earned her New York State EMT Certification in 2008, and has volunteered as an EMT for the Deer Park Fire Department. Dautner is also certified through the American Red Cross for First Aid/CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
